I'm thinking the Dropzone Helper taking up to a bit too much CPU time.

Ex: It have taken up twice as much CPU time as then Transmission, when I've used dropzone to upload 3 images to imageshack and transmission is seeding 16 torrents at approximately 30Kb/s. They have both been on since the computer started.

before I jump on the MacUpdate promotion today (although the money is really not the issue in this case...) I have a question:

Does Dropzone allow me to drop a file/folder and then:

- .zip the file/folder

- replace all spaces with underscores

- upload the resulting .zip to FTP?

That would be a _great_ timesaver for me!

Depending on the complexity maybe other "convert to" formats could be chosen in settings.

eg: DropJPG on VersionTracker

553 Can't open that file: No such file or directory.

I am pretty sure that I have the settings correct. Is it that passive thing again?

This afternoon I tried to install a new application using DropZone. The app itself happened to be a preferences pane. The installation went well but DropZone failed to unmout the disk image (.dmg).

It's actually the first time that I install a pref pane with dropzone, so this should be verified to see if it applies to all pref panes. In my opinion it actually apply to any application that has an installer (ie: Xcode, MacPorts, git-installer, etc).

Dragging a file over the dock icon does nothing. The only way to get it to work again was to completely reinstall. No big deal, I haven't put too much stuff in it yet. What happened? Also, why does the app move itself to my user folder when I want it in the main Applications folder? Thx!

When I dropped a Word document (.docx) on it, it completely went crazy and started printing many pages with one or two lines of gibberish on each one.

I then tried printing a .txt file and the printout came out really ugly with very large fonts and each paragraph as one stream with no regard to word boundaries. Special characters (such as characters with umlaut) does not show up either.

Is there some configuration that I need to do?
